About VCourse

The idea for VCourse was born when we entered university and faced a simple problem — the lack of a convenient mobile app for viewing class schedules. Existing third-party solutions were overloaded with ads and uncomfortable to use, which made us reluctant to rely on them.

In many universities, schedules are still published as PDF files. Others have their own websites or third-party systems, but most of them fall short in terms of usability and speed. We realized that this experience could be significantly improved.

Today, VCourse retrieves data directly from university services and presents schedules to students and instructors in a clear, user-friendly interface with additional features. Our long-term goal, however, is to build our own scheduling platform for universities — simplifying the scheduling process for institutions, creating better conditions for students and instructors, and allowing the project to grow without ads or paid subscriptions.

We built a product that we use ourselves every day and that is already used by thousands of students and instructors. VCourse is not a showcase project or a portfolio piece — it is a practical tool that affects people’s daily comfort and something we genuinely believe in.

All data in VCourse comes exclusively from official university sources. We do not edit schedules manually or alter their content — our role is to deliver accurate information clearly and reliably in a convenient format.

There are no ads, hidden subscriptions, or data sales in VCourse. We fundamentally believe that an educational service should remain honest and secure, without monetizing user attention or personal information.

We carefully review every piece of feedback and every suggestion. User input directly influences the development of the project — many features and improvements were introduced thanks to students and instructors who shared their ideas.

Our priority is stability, reliability, and a high-quality user experience. We do not chase flashy features for the sake of appearances and do not release updates if they risk degrading the service. VCourse evolves gradually, thoughtfully, and with a long-term vision.

VCourse is developed as a unified product with full support for all major platforms: Web, iOS, and Android. Our architecture is designed to provide a consistent, reliable experience regardless of the device.

In terms of design, we follow platform-specific guidelines. On iOS, we adhere to Human Interface Guidelines; on Android, we use Material Design; and on the Web, we rely on modern UI and accessibility best practices. This allows the application to feel native, familiar, and intuitive on every platform.

We pay close attention to functionality and performance. Mobile apps support offline data caching, allowing schedules to remain accessible without an internet connection. Users can also create notes for classes, save favorite groups, instructors, and classrooms, quickly access current and upcoming lessons, and use other features that simplify everyday interaction with the service.

VCourse is built with scalability and future development in mind. We invest in a solid technical foundation that allows us to gradually introduce new features without breaking existing functionality or compromising the stability of the application.

VCourse is developed by a small team of developers who are students themselves and face the same challenges as the users of the service on a daily basis. We clearly understand how important it is to access up-to-date schedules quickly without dealing with inconvenient solutions.

We do not work in isolation from real-world use cases — all ideas and improvements come from personal experience and real scenarios. This is why we pay close attention to details, usability, and interface logic.
